About TAN

Tremor Action Network, acronym TAN, is a public benefit organization founded in 2003 by people diagnosed with essential tremor, cervical dystonia and Parkinson’s Disease.

Mission

To spread awareness of tremor by advocating for a cure through research.

Goals and Objectives

• Awareness
  Educate the public about the millions of children and adults worldwide afflicted with tremor.
• Advocate
  Inform policy makers, healthcare professionals and the media of the quality of life challenges faced by those with movement disorders.
• Research
  Support and promote innovative diagnostic technologies and translational research.

Tremor Action Network is administered by diverse Directors – Pet Alcairo, Andrea Gardner, RN, Hokuto Morita, MD, MA Neuroscience, Kathleen Welker and James Zuchelli.

TAN’s goals and objectives are supported by Medical Advisors – Samuel A. Ellias, MD, John R. Gilbert, PhD, PhD, Adrian C. Handforth, MD, Rodolfo Llinas, MD, PhD, and Elan D. Louis, MD, MS Epidemiology.

The daily operation of Tremor Action Network is through the munificent giving of volunteers!
